Sarah Rasheed is the founder of Sarah Rasheed Law, and she has provided legal advice and support for numerous industries throughout the course of her career.  In 2018, Sarah saw the need for educational companies and in-house legal teams to remain current in light of the ever-changing landscape that is legislation in the education sector.  As a result, she decided to launch a specialized practice based on her extensive experience working both in-house and in education law.  She supports both growth stage companies and in-house legal teams.

Sarah works with companies through all stages of their life cycles, providing counsel on company formation, corporate governance, corporate and commercial transactions, technology and intellectual property, data privacy, and antitrust matters.

Prior to starting Sarah Rasheed Law, she served as an attorney at the New York City Department of Education's Office of the General Counsel, where she was responsible for launching Mayor Bill DeBlasio's Universal Pre-Kindergarten program. She then joined Pearson Education, Inc., where she was Senior Counsel and the head attorney for Pearson's K12 US Learning Services business, and where she was the head attorney for Pearson Canada.  Sarah also worked with Goldman Sachs's Private Equity Group in their Merchant Banking Legal division, where she handled regulatory and corporate governance matters.

Sarah holds a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law, where she was the Executive Editor of the Tulane Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property.  Sarah is a member of the New York State Bar.
